Just a week after announcing the multibillion-dollar overhaul of its Redmond campus, Microsoft is today revealing its revamped Silicon Valley campus. The overhaul will modernize Microsoft’s 32-acre campus in Mountain View, where the company has more than 2,000 employees.

The overhaul will be focused towards modernizing the campus in order to effectively promote collaboration, but Microsoft says the company’s goal is to design a campus that benefits the nature in California. Microsoft’s CTO Kevin Scott acknowledged the increasing demand for water in California, stating “Our goal is to design a campus that benefits and restores the natural area. California continues to face increased demand for limited water and energy resources. We took these challenges into account when we began our design plans. We started with the biggest challenge for the region — water. Our campus is designed to achieve net zero non-potable water certification under the Living Building Challenge. Microsoft will be the first tech company to achieve this certification.”

Microsoft will be utilizing rainwater through its onside wastewater plant at the revamped campus to reduce potable water consumption by more than 5%. The company says its new buildings will also meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum certification and provide natural light throughout the campus through the glass exteriors.

Microsoft’s revamped Silicon Valley campus, which is apparently the company’s “smartest, greenest” office yet, is expected to be ready for occupancy by the end of 2019. Here’s a video showing off some of the renders of the planned overhaul:
