Build 2020 Registration Opens Later Today
Microsoft’s first virtual version of Build will be held May 19-20 and if you’re interested in attending, you’ll be able to register starting today.
Here’s what I know.
Registration will be open sometime between 2 pm and 4 pm PT, or 5 pm and 7 pm ET.
Based on feedback, Build 2020 will focus exclusively on developer content, so there won’t be any news for consumers or end-users. Most of the content will consist of small sessions and breakouts, and while there will be some short high-level overviews, we won’t see the long keynotes we had in the past.
The content will also be more pragmatic and focus on tools and information that developers can use. There will be much less of an emphasis on the future.
No new strategies will be announced at Build 2020.
Day 2 will focus on AI and will feature an appearance by Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott.
Most of the content will be broadcast live, with some short pre-recorded videos, and it will include a combination of people in the Channel 9 studios and Microsoft employees at their homes.
There should be an official announcement soon.
