Samsung’s next-gen foldable phone has been in the news for a quite while. We first heard about the device back in September of last year and got a very early, but rough look at the product back in December.

And now, we are getting our first-ever look at the official renders of Samsung’s next-gen foldable device, courtesy of WinFuture and @evleaks (private). The device you see above is Samsung’s next foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip takes a completely different approach from the original Galaxy Fold. The device features a 6.7-inch screen with a 22:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2636×1080 pixels. The device’s display features Samsung’s Infinity-O design, with a whole for the front-facing 10MP camera. The display features HDR10+ and Samsung’s Ultra Thin Glass, which covers the display itself and apparently offers significantly better protection than the cover on the original Galaxy Fold.

The device also features a secondary 1.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 300×116 pixels to tell the time, etc., on the outside.

Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 855+, 8GB of RAM, and a 3300mAh battery. For the cameras, there are two main 12MP cameras on the back, with the main sensor featuring an aperture of f/1.8, and an ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture offering 123-degree field-of-view.

Galaxy Z Flip is apparently targetted towards internet influencers. Apparently, the internal marketing of the device mentions it being “Influencer Ready” and there are apparently some software features that make it suitable for Instagram photos. Indeed, when we first reported about the Galaxy Z Flip, the device was supposed to be a luxury, high-fashion design product, so maybe that has to do something with it being “Influencer Ready”.
