Spotify has added support for Siri to its iPhone app, and the service will land on Apple TV for the first time later today.

“Siri [is] available on iOS 13,” the release notes for the latest Spotify app version reads. “[You can now] control your Spotify listening experience on iPhone, iPad, CarPlay, AirPods, and HomePod via Airplay … Spotify will [also] turn on Data Saver when your device’s Low Data Mode is turned on [in iOS 13].”

Additionally, Spotify notes that it has released an app for Apple TV, though I’m not seeing it at the time of this writing. You will soon be able to download this app through the Apple TV App Store or by enabling the “automatically install apps” option in Apple TV Settings.

These are both big moves from a company that has had to report Apple to antitrust regulators in the EU because of Apple’s anticompetitive behavior. So far, it’s had little impact: Spotify still holds a commanding lead over Apple Music overall, but the picture on iOS is complicated because of Apple’s faithful fan base.
