Google’s Pixel 3 XL Leaks in All Its Glory

Posted August 8, 2018 | Android | Google | Hardware | Pixel 3 | Pixel 3 XL | Pixel Buds | Windows

Last month, we got to see a leaked version of the Pixel 3 XL in all white. The leaked device was remotely erased, so we didn’t really get to see much of the software, or how Android Pie looks on this thing. Today, a new leak of the Pixel 3 XL has emerged, revealing the device in all its glory.

Google is still a few months away from officially announcing the new Pixel 3 devices, but today’s leak shows off the production version of the device in the official packaging. The new leaked pictures don’t really show off anything new about the device, apart from the new USB-C earbuds that will come with the device itself. That’s definitely a nice improvement from last year’s Pixel 2 devices, where you’d get a USB-C/3.5mm adapter for the earphones.

From the looks of things, Google will continue to include the audio adapter with the new Pixel 3 devices. We also get a closer look at the new USB-C earbuds above, and they look a lot like Google’s wireless Pixel Buds. The notch on the Pixel 3 XL does look slightly better on these pictures, though it’s still slightly bigger than what we have seen on the iPhone X, and much bigger than the one on the Essential Phone.

As for the Pixel 3 XL itself, the device will feature an octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor, an Adreno 630 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. Google is also rumoured to be ditching the device’s on-screen navigation system for Android Pie’s new gesture-based navigation system. It’s slated for an October 4 launch, but that’s yet to be officially confirmed.
