Google’s Home speakers are getting a much-awaited feature today. First announced at I/O last month, Google Assistant on the Home speakers now let you have a natural conversation with the speaker.

“For the Google Assistant to have a natural conversation, it should be able to understand when it’s being spoken to and should be capable of responding to several requests during an interaction. We’re taking another step forward in making your interactions with the Google Assistant more natural with Continued Conversation,” Google’s Jaclyn Konzelmann said in a blog post. With Continued Conversation, Home users can carry out a natural conversation with the Assistant on their Home, Home Max, or Home Mini speakers. The new feature is rolling out today, and users will be able to enable it through the Google Assistant’s settings.

The way Continued Conversation works is pretty cool — you start off with one question or instruction, and then you can perform other follow-up actions. For example, if you ask Assistant for the weather, you can then ask it show you the weather for tomorrow, or next Friday. You can also perform multiple actions, and control your smart home devices with Continued Conversation, too.
