Google announced today that it is bringing continuous scrolling to search results on mobile, with no need for separate pages.

“We’re making browsing search results more seamless and intuitive with the introduction of continuous scrolling on mobile devices,” Google’s Niru Anand writes in the announcement post. “Now, when you reach the bottom of a search results page on your phone, the next set of results will automatically load with relevant information.”

The idea here is that while most people find what they’re looking for near the top of search results, you still sometimes need to scroll further, and that that currently requires multiple pages of results. But with continuous scrolling, there are no more pages. Instead, as you keep scrolling, more results appear on the same page. So there’s no more “See more” button.

The continuous scrolling search experience is rolling out now, gradually, to most English searches on mobile devices in the U.S., Google says.
