Google is bringing its Assistant to the iPad today. The company is releasing a new iPad app for Assistant on the App Store today, and the app offers almost the exact same experience as the iPhone app. It’s available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish.

Google Assistant on the iPad lets you do everything you can do on the iPhone app. But the app also supports iOS 11’s multitasking features, so you can use it side-by-side with other apps. This will be tremendously useful when you are researching something, for example — you can have Microsoft Word or Notes open in one side of your iPad, and use Assistant on the other to ask Google questions.

Assistant coming to the iPad is part of Google’s bigger push to bring Assistant to more devices and users. The company started working with third-party hardware makers to bring Assistant to more devices such as smart displays earlier this year, and the iPad launch continues the trend.
