Dropbox Doubles the Storage Space for Its Most Expensive Plan
Dropbox is doubling the storage space available with its most expensive plan available for individuals. The company is upgrading its Professional plan to now include 2TB of storage, up from the previous 1TB, without charging a higher price.
Dropbox’s Professional plan, which comes at roughly $200 a year, will now give you double of the storage without compromising the experience. The upgrade Professional plan is available right now to new subscribers, and existing subscribers will get the upgraded storage space over the next few weeks as Dropbox is “being extra careful in migrating” existing customers to the new 2TB plan.
For business users, Dropbox is also offering extra storage space now. If your company subscribes to the Business Standard plan, you will now get an additional 1TB of storage instead of the previous 3TB storage. Dropbox says its professional customers demanded increased storage space, so the new upgrades should be welcome to many of its users, especially creatives who have to store large files. As someone who is slowly getting tired of Microsoft throttling downloads on OneDrive, Dropbox’s Professional plan looks really promising.
